Expensive for what you get.
We visited the Aberdeen Union Square Branch today. The food was enjoyable and the staff pleasant but service was very slow and the bill exorbitant for what was served, small platters that cost over six pound each for a couple of mouthfuls.

Aberdeen Rip Off
Went for lunch at the Aberdeen branch yesterday, first time I’ve been back since Covid and I won’t be returning. I took my daughter with me, we spent £40 and had a couple of plates each and shared a fries….and walked out still feeling hungry. Food was mediocre at best. Also, how can anyone possibly justify charging £3.10 for a can of Diet Coke!!! Total rip off, won’t be back.

My family love yo sushi!
My family love yo sushi!
Since the closure of the Glasgow Fort branch our visits are now few and far between but this weekend we visited the Edinburgh branch. Staff were very helpful with the new way of ordering and gave us a tablet to place out order as my phone battery had died. Food was lovely as usual
Since the pandemic its not worth going…
Since the pandemic its not worth going anymore.
They cynically removed the conveyor belt, which was the fun part, rolls that were £3 when they started are now closer to 6£! For one roll! - AVOID. I won't be returning after being a frequent customer for 20 years.
Went to Yo Sushi by Bond Street and…
Went to Yo Sushi by Bond Street and found conveyor belt was only allowed for food that had been pre-ordered. Only way to order was via app but as Wi-Fi was so bad, kept losing connection. What I did see of the menu shows massive price increases and very little options. Gave up and left without eating after trying multiple times to order. Complained direct to Yo Sushi but no response. Used to be my favourite place to visit but will not go again.

Absolutely wonderful
Absolutely wonderful! Went to yo sushi in nottingham!! Service was outstanding! Staff were super!! Jordan such a top guy! Loving the soup! Thanks so much! Super chilled environment and nice and cool especially with this hot weather we are having! Will definitely be back soon!
YO - Oh No!
Went to the Glasgow West Regent Street branch today for lunch. Wish I had seen the recent reviews here first.
Sad to see how much has changed since my last visit. QR code ordering didn’t work for us so had to grab the attention of one of the waiting staff for an actual menu which too a while.
Was immediately required to pay the bill in full just as the waiting staff tapped the last of our order into there pad - didn’t appreciate that. Much preferred the old conveyor system, choose and eat what you like then total up the dishes.
Food was very underwhelming and sad looking, 4 piece crispy prawn sushi roll wasn’t crispy. Yakisobi noodles were poor, I’ve have better pot noddles! Some dishes with pictures in the menu didn’t resemble what we got.
Drink prices are absolutely ridiculous. Over £3.00 for a standard 330ml can of juice! Some soft drinks even border on the £4.00 mark. Some of the original cheaper dishes have also seen a massive hike in price and sadly some of my favourites are gone.
Overall a very disappointing and far too expensive lunch experience. Left feeling unsatisfied and hungry. Will be looking for a new sushi restaurant.

Portion sizes were tiny
Portion sizes were tiny, half of what was pictured for each item. The fish looked liked off cuts rather than whole pieces, the sushi was wafer thin and scrunched up. All in all a terrible experience. They used to a great brand but I have now had several aweful experience since the reopened after the pandemic. Won't be going back again

What has happened to Yo Sushi?
Yo Sushi in Nottingham has gone completely downhill. I’ve been a big fan of sushi for many years. Before YO! Sushi opened in Nottingham I used to look forward to going to London and visiting one of the outlets there.
The branch in Nottingham used to be very good pre-Covid. I’ve been twice since things have got back to normal and each time has been poor. The range of food seems to have significantly diminished, and the service is nowhere near as good as it used to be.
More particularly to this review is the quality of the food on my last visit, It wasn’t good on the previous occasion, this time it was appalling. I have never seen such badly made sushi and I’ve been eating sushi for over 30 years, the Maki sushi had a tiny ragged piece of salmon, not in the middle, but at the edge and the roll was ill-formed. The Nigiri wasn’t formed at all, - it was just a clump of rice and the tuna on top was a randomly shaped thin sliver.
It looked as if it had been made in the dark by someone with two left hands.
Clearly they are having difficulty getting a competent sushi chef.
The place doesn’t look appealing and has a down at heel, grubby feel.
The food on the belt system has not returned and the worst aspect is that you have to pay, including tip, when you order. So although you could say something after, it seems pointless.
I shan’t be back.

Yo sushi is fake and mediocre sushi
Yo sushi is fake and mediocre sushi. Compared to other sushi restaurants, theirs is too expensive and not even one authentic tasting and looking sushi in the menu, not one close enough. probably thought that they can fool westerners. They should just sell food that they actually know how to make.

Fantastic service at Bluewater
We Decided to try Yo Sushi at Bluewater a few weeks back and first time simce Covid and absolutely love the new way your food is prepared and sent directly to your table without the need to select from the endless plates on the conveyor belt. The food was so much fresher and the new menu is great too especially true vegan duck….I just wanted to try and thought it tastes better than the real duck dish!!
My only negative is you have to order then pay on the app and if you want more you for through the process again which can be a little time consuming but i guess it saves you over eating/spending which can’t be too bad a thing
Over all a great experience and the staff took their time to talk to us and make my disabled friend welcome both with finding the right space for her wheelchair and taking the time to find the right food for her dietary requirements. Will be eating there again soon

Called at ‘Yo to Go’ at Manchester…
Called at ‘Yo to Go’ at Manchester Piccadilly at 5pm midweek to take sushi home for dinner. The take out fridge was close to empty and the staff refused to let me place an order to take away and were pretty dismissive about it, couldn’t care less. Not much ‘to go’ to for this place. Better off at Wasabi.
